EDUCAÇÃO DE JOVENS E ADULTOS: UM ESTUDO SOBRE TRAJETÓRIAS ESCOLARES INTERROMPIDAS

Abstract

This study deals with the themes of Education for Youths and Adults, particularly implies thinking what the causes of dropping out of school by their subjects. In this sense, takes as a starting point for their analyzes the trajectory of life and six school alumni escapees EJA in the municipal Palmas, capital of the state of Tocantins. To endorse their analysis, is used as theoretical writers such as Marx (2001), Ianni (1998), Bobbio (2004), Freire (1987), among others. The studies helped this researcher to understand the object of this research, from the discussions on the right to education, which is the EJA as education modality, the profile of the subjects of this kind, as well as mediations that enabled explain the causes of truancy these subjects. The place of apprehension of these analyzes occurred from the Constitutions, Legal Documents, speeches and national and international movements, as well as the speech of individuals surveyed. For this research different instruments were used: semistructured interview using the recorder and document analysis (investigation of individual student records, minutes of the final results and file liabilities) in the school studied. As for the results, it was found that one of the most striking facts related to evasion of the subjects studied is mainly linked to the issue of own work of former students, he also being the main reason for seeking the return to school, and other factors as health problems, family problems, housing distant, and intergenerational conflicts within the school. Likewise, this study was instructive in the sense of understanding that research on the Education of Youth and Adults can not ignore analysis that approach this topic in the field of the contradictions and social exclusion. So what should be at issue in these studies is primarily what the subjects think, live, express, give sense and meaning to education.
