O TRABALHO E A SAÚDE DOS PESQUISADORES EM UMA EMPRESA DE PESQUISA: UMA LEITURA PSICODINÂMICA.

Abstract

Work is a central element in the construction of workers health and for the psychic constitution of the subject. Armed with this understanding, in the light of the psychodynamics of work, this exploratory descriptive case study investigates the impact of work on workers health in a research organization. It presents the following specific objectives: to describe the work organization of the company researched; to identify the workers experiences of pleasure and suffering; to identify the workers coping strategies to withstand the rigors of the workplace. These objectives were established to address the following issues: What is the impact of work organization in researchers health in a research company? The study was developed in a research company, with seven researchers. Data collection was held on document analysis and space of collective discussion. The data collected were submitted to Clinic Analysis of Labor. These results stand out: 1) the organization researched maintains the same basic features of other public organizations, such as attachment to rules and routines, hierarchy overrating, paternalism in relations, addiction to power, among others; 2) there is a gap between the regulated and the real since, by prescription, there is an official discourse of equal employment conditions for everyone, but discriminatory practices are evident; 3) a pressure for results, the exploitation of workers suffering by the organization of work, the desire to be recognized, and an excessive bureaucracy were some of the aspects highlighted in this study which represent the dynamics of the suffering of researchers; 4) the condition of suffering of these workers and the way in which the organization of work feeds back the suffering was remarkable on several lines for several times; 5 ) suffering in its many facets comes basically from the lack of recognition; 6) the researchers point out a failure in the forms of cooperation between sectors and peers, individualism and competition hinder the building of bonds of trust, solidarity and cooperation; 7) failure to comply with the standard and the practice of activities not related to the company are some ways of coping with the difficulties and suffering arising from work. Finally, considerations about the limitations and contributions of the study are presented, as well as research prospects to deepen the issues raised in this study.
