GESTÃO DE PATRIMÔNIO ARQUEOLÓGICO, DOCUMENTAÇÃO E POLÍTICA DE PRESERVAÇÃO

Abstract

As we are engaged in the preservation of the archaeological patrimony, at the same time, frightened with the accelerated rhythm of the destruction of this patrimony, we propose to accomplish researches that would enable us to elaborate a diagnosis and show some measures that could attenuate the problem. We identified three fundamental and interdependent questions: the absence of an efficient structure of management that would be able to face the change of pattern that has been outlined in the country, especially in the function of the disorganized development conducted by the archaeological enterprises; the lack of documentation and devolution of these properties to the national society, that greatly contributes to the invisibility of this category of patrimony, and the inexistence of public policies. Furthermore, we organized, systematized and aggregated some information and knowledge that demonstrate the management of the Archaeological Patrimony as being an area of a complex speciality that needs fomentation, space for acting and development of a guided practical work. We achieved of a brief analytical approach by consulting the national database, by aiming at its informative potential and efficiency. We also demonstrated the need of consolidation of this system, because of the lack of the data related to what has been done effectively about the national patrimony. We concluded with the proposal of action that would enable us to increase the practice of devolution of the national patrimony, by reconciling the visibility of the archaeological patrimony and at the same time, counting on the participation of the whole society, as well as to make a proposal of efficient political measures that could establish new structures of a shared management, as a legimated way to lead to these questions.
