DIREITO E EDUCAÇÃO AMBIENTAL: CAMINHOS PARA CONCILIAR PRESERVAÇÃO E DESENVOLVIMENTO

Abstract

This work was developed from the research line of Market Environment of the Postgraduate studies in Law, International Relations and Development at the Pontifical Catholic University of Goiás (Goiás PUC). The purpose was to investigate the feasibility of the Environmental Law and Environmental Education as a way to reconcile conservation and development. The objective, in relation to environmental education, exploring its origins, rationale, function, properties, types, principles, and how was its institutionalization in Brazil. Intended to show its vital importance in the present scenario in discussions on the subject environmental sustainability, integrating your profile, interdisciplinary and transforming agent of the current scenario in the form of man relate to nature. Similarly, in relation to environmental law, also sought to determine their current stage of evolution and application in our country for this, was a common trunk that joins EA (its philosophical basis, sociological and educational in the broadest sense), its origin, legal, principles, which environmental goods, as well as analysis of important points of the DA positive (constitutional protection, environmental legislative powers, how is your protection, the main changes of the Forest Code) and what its prospects. In the process of investigation of various procedures were used for data collection: historical aspects of one and other, relevant laws, and doctrines that deal with such issues. The outcome presented several key points, useful for scientific reflection and institutional, such as the underutilization of EA as a training tool for new citizens more critical and aware of the reality of environmental crisis in which we live, which reflects the quality and choice of representatives of the people responsible for the development, implementation and enforcement of environmental law.
