ANÁLISE SOCIOESPACIAL DO JARDIM GUANABARA

Abstract

Population growth in urban centers, the housing deficit, social and territorial exclusion and the increase in illegal occupations become increasingly necessary to find instruments of planning, urban management, public policy and strategies to promote community participation in decision decisions in favor of local development. This paper seeks to give an analysis of the socio Garden Guanabara, trying to show some elements that determined the growth of the sector. Initially the Government was through with the installation of the Goiania airport, the CEASA, the Special Operations Brigade (Old 42 Infantry Battalion), gradually with the expansion of local commerce and the furniture industry. With the lack of housing in the downtown area, families were moving to the industry, the security area near the airport and the risk area on the banks of the stream Quarry. We also implemented two housing to alleviate the housing problem for state and local officials. So the industry expands, new neighborhoods springing up, new local arrangements. In this context, the state tends to gradually improve the infrastructure and expand social services, and promote the removal of the families of irregular areas. Thus, we see the importance of the state to regulate urban sprawl, which benefits certain areas of the city over others, favoring the real estate capital, allowing the emergence of patches of segregation in the city. The dissertation is based on the methodological principles of qualitative research, containing a literature review and empirical research seeking to understand the social and economic transformations occurring in the industry.
