MATRIZ ENERGÉTICA BRASILEIRA: IMPACTOS AMBIENTAIS E À SAÚDE

Abstract

The Brazilian energy matrix is directly responsible for economic development, technology and science in the country. The diversity of the energy matrix of a country decreases the risk of energy crisis, since it does not depend on a single energy source, but a further another. Given this importance, this work aims to analyze the MEB and its impacts on the environment and health. Therefore, through deductive methodology, this paper addresses the division adopted by MEB energy, into renewable and non-renewable. Renewable sources are biomass, solar, wind, geothermal, ocean and water. The non-renewable sources are the oil and its derivatives, coal, natural gas and uranium. The impacts to the environment, health and society before the use of energy sources that make up the MEB were identified and analyzed, emphasizing the importance of Legislative, Executive and Judiciary Powers to control those impacts. Unquestionably, all forms of generating energy, to a lesser or greater extent, can cause an impact on the environment and human health, primary, so that these three independent and harmonious Powers working in harmony, regulating, overseeing and implementing the legal standard to the case to accommodate the fundamental precept of Article 225 of the Constitution of the Republic, to live with dignity in a ecologically balanced environment, without refrain, however, the facilities available for science and technology.
