A INSTITUCIONALIZAÇÃO DA EXTENSÃO NA UNIVERSIDADE ESTADUAL DE GOIÁS (UEG)

Abstract

The master's dissertation presented in the Stricto Sensu Post-Graduation Program in Social Work, from PUC Goiás, results from the research and studies developed on the theme of university extension, with emphasis on the reflection on higher education in the context of society in Goiás, and the particularities of the social insertion of the Universidade Estadual de Goiás - UEG. The object of study was the institucionalization of university extension of the Universidade Estadual de Goiás, learned by the inventory of the modalities of activities registered and developed in the years of 2015 and 2016. The qualitative research included bibliographical studies, documentary research and analysis about the extension actions of the UEG in its modalities. The documentary research and the inventory of the predominant themes in the activities registered as an extension resulted from the collection of the data made available by the academic management system of the UEG, called Pegasus Platform, for the period from 2015 to 2016. The data collected about the extension actions in the UEG were problematized, on the one hand, in the educational context of predominance of mitigation tendencies of a certain conception of learning, focused on social inclusion, as a conduit of conformation of education and university to the corporate transformation, during the period of capital crisis, accentuated from the end of the 1970s. On the other hand, the need to assess whether these extension actions in the UEG are predominantly focused on the functions of the university of teaching and research, mitigating the scope of its social insertion.
