Educação, juventudes e participação política: os sentidos atribuídos pelos jovens à ocupação de escolas em Goiás entre 2015 e 2016.

Abstract

This sociological research, linked to the education, society and Culture Research Line, of the graduate program in Education – PPGE of PUC Goiás, aims, based on the methods of reflexive sociology of Pierre Bourdieu (2001), to examine the participation Politics of youths in the process of occupation of some schools of the state and federal Education Network in the metropolitan region of Goiânia. The object of research is the meanings attributed by young secondary students to the processes of occupation of schools. Through quantitative research, the social profile of the young person was approached, using instruments and techniques to collect documentary information. And based on a qualitative approach, interviews were conducted with the participants and analyses of the collected data. Students graduated from occupied state schools, young people between 18 and 25 years of age, who actively participated in the occupations in their respective schools. It is considered that the social structures of the modern state have undergone transformations that have promoted the development of neoliberalism and that the condition of educational crises is not only the result of a local policy, but rather a general plan of changes in State administration regime, which uses reforms to implement new forms of precarization, as is the case with social organizations. It is understood that poor youth, specifically young people who participated in occupation movements, constitute an important modality in youth participation regimes. From the awareness of the policies of precarization of the school, the young people defined agendas of protests and through occupations and social media, dispute the political hegemony of the discourses, transforming the occupations into a large center of Youth resistance to neoliberal policies at school. The young people, from their own narratives, analyze their participation in the occupation movement and define how occupations impacted in the ways of giving value and meaning to the issues of the political world, breaking with the various forms of political and elaborating a specific formative itinerary in the occupations. It was concluded that the young participants of the occupations had a greater interest in participation in social policy, including recognizing themselves as important social actors. The secondary occupations were able to stop one of the educational reforms in the state of Goiás, the implementation of the outsourcing of school management by the social organizations. From the experience in occupations, the youngsters were able to recognize the various forces in the dispute of political power, developed a system of organization formed by strong social bonds, built several strategies to overcome the attacks of State about their demands. The political participation in youth occupations played a relevant role in making its participants more active in the social struggle, developing in the occupants in a short time an intellectual, political and critical formation of its members, making them beings Experienced and aware of their real conditions of existence in society
