Poder e representação política das mulheres em Goiás a partir da lei 9.504/1997

Abstract

This research aims to promote reflections on the participation of women as elected representatives in Brazil, analyzing the impact that representation, feminist theories, gender studies, culture, interculturality, the male domination, the sexual division of labor, the law as a social regulator, the electoral system has on under-representation. Analyzing the history of women´s struggle, especially considering the participation of the feminist movement. Statistical data will be evaluated, the vast bibliography regarding the participation of women i n the House of Representatives, Federal Senate, State Government and Legislative Assembly of Goiás, and the representation of women from Goiás in the federal and state scenario. All these questions will be specially considered from Law no. 9.504 / 97, with attention especially focused on the affirmative actions that seek to enable women their place of speech. This research is sought to disseminate historical and theoretical data for future research and information to society, in order to contribute to the reflection on the theme, identifying the difficulties that determine the current status quo of this representativeness, and to actually reach its objective, greater equity.
