Histórias de fé e tradição cultural da comitiva Capivari: romaria de muladeiros devotos do Divino Pai Eterno

Abstract

This dissertation researches the stories of faith and the cultural tradition of the Capivari Romaria Committee of Muladeiros and devotees of the Divine Eternal Father, since every year thousands of people are attracted to Trindade - GO on the occasion of the celebration in honor of the Divine Eternal Father. Several groups (paths, muladeiros, pilgrims, cyclists, etc.) participate in the event, demonstrating the richness and cultural diversity present in the territory of Goiás. Thus, the objective of this research is to understand the importance of devotion to the Divine Eternal Father and the manifestations found from the stories of faith and cultural tradition of the Capivari Romaria de Muladeiros Committee, conducted by the pioneers of the region and Municipality of Jandaia, keeping alive the the religiosity of the generations towards devotion to the Divine Eternal Father. What are the elements that remain as a popular tradition or religiosity in the Pilgrimage of the Divine Eternal Father? How does the presence of young people show a sense of belonging to a local tradition? What elements mark the walk to the sacred place? We conducted a bibliographic, documentary, image search, case study and interviews with the pilgrimage participants, selected from three age groups. The study is based on the assumptions of Halbwachs (1990), Eliade (1992), Pollack (1989), Giddens (1991), Quadros (2013), Pierre Nora (1993), Nascimento (2019) and Bosi (1994), we seek to discuss and register the historical, cultural and social aspects related to the history of faith of these devotees based on popular religiosity, the elements that constitute sacred and the profane, the manifestations of faith and gratitude of the pilgrims of the Capivari Committee that continuously maintains the cultural tradition and of their relatives, as well as understanding and recording the narratives, memories and devotion of their participants and the route taken by the tropeiros to the final destination which is the Matriz (Old Sanctuary)
