Estudos comparativos e transcriação: José J. Veiga e Gabriel García Márquez

Abstract

This research was boosted by an interest in investigating the singularities between two literary productions of the distinguished novelists José J. Veiga and Gabriel García Márquez, these written works are considered as part of the Fantastic Realism and Magic Realism, disposing themselves to the analyzes that are approaching. Thus the aspects that approach or distance themselves in the two works are investigated: A HORA DOS RUMINANTES and CEM ANOS DE SOLIDÃO respectively, which permeate the literary universe, translating in such a way, the ontic manifestations, shedding light to the human condition, through fantastic procedures, not as a way of dispersing concrete things, but as a conscious immersion in them, through transgression and the irony of writing. The images that border the grotesque, the strange, the absurd, are extracted from the tangible universe, as well as the whole atmosphere of magic established by these works. This connection is investigated as a way to express the relevance of comparative studies, considering the transcreation process from the perspective of the fantastic magic. Using this mechanism, we hope to understand how the work is constituted in this fictional universe. It is believed that the realization of this study may cause in the reader, firstly, the interest in the theme and consequently, the initiative to develop other studies based on other literary works or other artistic manifestations for its importance in the composition and development of the individual, as a participant in contemporary society. These are two literary expressions, one of them representing Brazilian literature and the other one is a Hispanic-American, which are presented here as products of literary movements at the time and which establish a link with the present. We will carry out comparative studies, paying attention to the limits of observable transcreation between semiological systems in order to bring the light the concrete dialogia between these literary productions. Thus, we will seek to identify the possible ways of presenting the works of these authors based from the theory of transcreation, through intersemiotic studies, especially in the construction of narratives that, in many moments, adopt the specificity as a voice. Therefore, the use of the qualitative method, through bibliographic research is considered pertinent, predominantly, in three chapters that discourse about the fantastic, it¿s related the dialogical relations and the transcreative procedures, respectively
