A congada: o reino do Kôngo, religiões e africanidades

Abstract

The objective of this paper is to answer the question: What contributions did the Kingdom of Kôngo bring to the African diaspora and are contained in the congada in Goiânia? Being a bibliographic search in the form of a "state of knowledge" of scientific production. The author of this dissertation participates in the research group Social Memory and Subjectivity at IES PUC Goiás. The bibliographic sources are based on the works selected and discussed on the congada. From the theoreticalmethodological point of view chosen, it is the hermeneutics of Science of Religion, also contemplating the discussions of other theoretical lines. The selection of 136 papers on the website of the Brazilian Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations (BDTD) linked to (CNPq) and (CAPES). From these works, nine theses and five dissertations were selected. The chapters were divided into three: the first on the Kingdom of Kôngo, its historical, geographical, political, social, cultural and religious context, the ethnicities, their identities and their Africanities. In the second chapter on the Kingdom of Kongon, its cultures and its religions, on the African diaspora. In the third chapter, about congada, its symbols, popular Catholicism, African religiosity in the AfroBrazilian religiosity of congada. As a conclusion, the unfolding of the African diaspora with the European and African cultural and religious syncretism brought to Brazil, contained in the congada in Goiânia. Perceived that the sense of belonging of the congadeiros to an African ancestry in the Kingdom of Kôngo and their humanity resignified in the congada of Goiânia.
