A garantia dos direitos das mulheres no município de Cristalina-GO

Abstract

The present thesis focuses on the study of women's rights in the municipality of Cristalina, Goiás, in 2022. The choice of a gender perspective is due to the fact that inequalities between men and women are intrinsic to human history, permeating customs, politics, and culture of social groups. These gender differences materialize in social attributions, reverberating in the social division of responsibilities and obligations, in insertion and remuneration in the labor market, in access to control of resources, and consequently in legislation. As a presupposition of this research, we start from the hypothesis that there is tension and contradiction between the concrete reality and the achievements in relation to women's rights in Brazil, a situation that is no different in the municipality of Cristalina. The analysis of the existence of legal instruments goes through the knowledge of the local reality with regard to the economy, politics, and the demands of the female population. It was concluded that the municipality of Cristalina has legislations to guarantee women's rights in accordance with the principles established by the National Plan for Policies for Women. It was also concluded that the municipality is moving towards the improvement of existing structures and services, however, the lack of quantitative data on the assistance to women,and women victims of violence, makes it difficult to elaborate and to have effective public actions and policies
