Literatura e Imagem: Apreensão do Signo Estético para o Surdo

Abstract

This research aims to do a translation in LIBRAS of the fable “Diálogo entre a boneca e o Visconde. A esperteza da Emília e a resignação do milho”, in: Memórias de Emília - Fábulas of the book O sítio do picapau amarelo, by Monteiro Lobato, vol. 4, Editora Brasiliense; to make a parallel of the literary text and the homonymous television imaginary text, aiming to analyze the apprehension of the aesthetic sign of visuospatial modality for the deaf, exploring the grammar of the LIBRAS, with its signs and classifiers, considering the moving image of the kinetic language; the interaction between the Viscount and Emilia, with the use of interactive instruments in their communicative specificities. To translate this atmosphere to the deaf, in a way that guarantees the possibility of apprehension of the sign in the aesthetic dimension, aiming to offer him access to the artistic universe by means of the verbal, imaginary and kinetic sign. It is hoped that in this way he will effectively participate in the signification and re-signification of his language in his first natural language. We seek, then, using the contributions derived from semiotics and the interface between aesthetic systems. We will study the contemporary critical currents, in order to study the deaf communication process, to deepen the readings inherent to the interactional communicative issues in the verbivisual and visiospatial modalities.
