dc.description.abstract | Introduction: Tuberculosis (TB) is an infectious bacterial disease present in the world population. The public most affected by this pathology is composed of individuals with compromised immune system, thus it is the main co-infection related to People Living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA). Objective: The aim of this research was to describe the epidemiological profile of individuals using Latent Infection Tuberculosis Therapy (LTBI) living with HIV/AIDS in the state of Goiás, 2015-2020. The study is characterized as analytical, descriptive, retrospective, based on secondary data. Methods: Composed of notifications of ILTB, with minimal fulfillment of the variables, registered in the Information System of Latent Infection in Tuberculosis (SILT). Results: The linkage technique between the SILT database and the DATASUS data was used. The analysis of gender (p= 0.0001) showed more data for males (n= 107), with a predominance of individuals with non-reactive tuberculin skin tests and IGRA. In the female group (n=25), the forms with a reactive TST and IGRA had the same number (n=2). The predominant age group (p= 0.0001) was 20 to 39 years old (63%). As far as race is concerned (p= 0.01), the predominant one is brown (43.94%). Chest X-rays (p= 0.43) were normal in 57.58% of cases. The treatment time (p= 0.0001) is 12 months in 90.15% of cases. The vaccination scheme for BCG (p= 0.0001) was ignored in 45.45% of the data. After collecting the general data, the notifications were divided according to the health regions of coverage. The Central Region stood out with 73.48% of the TB cases, followed by the South Central (9.85%), Pyrenees (7.58%), and St. Patrick I (2.27%) regions. Conclusion: Therefore, the need for research that discusses this theme and generates new knowledge about all stages of health care is notorious. Finally, public policies must be prepared for the care of individuals using ILTB therapy, living with HIV/Aids, not only in Goiás, but throughout Brazil | eng |
